The Taste of Elegance is a culinary competition designed to inspire innovative and exciting ways to menu pork. This year we had several South Dakota chefs competing for a $1,000 cash prize sponsored by Zoetis and the opportunity to attend the National Pork Board Pork Summit that will be held in St. Helena, California in the Napa Valley Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone Campus. They’ll experience butchering and cooking demonstrations and work alongside the Celebrated Chefs in Greystone’s world famous teaching kitchens. The Pork Summit will be held on Spring of 2017. The Taste of Elegance not only provides an elegant occasion to highlight the increasing popularity of pork on America’s menus, but it also helps strengthen chefs’ preference for pork as a flavorful and versatile meat.
