Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee consists of 7 members elected or appointed at the first meeting of the Executive Board following the incoming President's installation. The members shall be:
- The current Executive Committee of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council
- An SDPP Executive Board member elected by closed ballot of the Executive Board
In order for the Executive Board and members to be eligible for the committee their term on the committee must coincide with their term on the Executive Board of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council.
Purpose
- Meets twice a year, in June and in December
- Reviews the job description of the Executive Director
- Conduct a performance review of the Executive Director
- Reviews the salary of the Executive Director and makes recommendations to the Budget & Finance Committee
- Receives a report from the Executive Director of the performance of the other employees of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council
- Receives a report on salary recommendations for the South Dakota Pork Producers Council staff from the Executive Director
- Reviews the Personnel Manual of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council
- Hears grievances filed by an employee that are not resolved by the Executive Director
